Go Ahead ! Tell me I'm wrong if you think so, but have the courage to stand by your beliefs. If you believe something it shouldn't matter that I believe something else. Make your point.
Okay, I really want to try this. In my opinion, discussion and debate are essential to keep the USA free and informed. It's what makes us who we are, the ability to disagree and present opposing viewpoints. I want to see if we can get everyone to respond to these questions WITHOUT any of the typical crap we hear day in and day out through media sources. Just your (hopefully informed) opinions. Maybe we can air it out since I'm getting more and more angry and think maybe if I talk to people about the issues, without all the idiotic stuff I have to dig through on most sites, I'll understand what the other side sees, a perspective I'm missing completely at the moment. Oh, and if you want to add questions we can add anything you want to talk about.
The Rules:
1. You are not allowed to use "candidate speak" (ie. maverick, devisive, distraction, ginning up, caribou barbie, etc.)
2. NO RHETORIC! Use your words not theirs and if you give info back it up, don't just say the candidate said so because they have both lied and been caught and while one claims he isn't a politician, they both are.
3. NO NAME CALLING!! Of candidates or each other, and most of all not of me.
4. Answer based on the PRES candidate, unless/until one of them dies we're stuck with these two.
5. I'm right !!! Just kidding, well ... mostly kidding.

I'll have to think about this and get back to you on this one. I think they both ant to cut out excessive spending in the government but i need to check this out more
My goodness, can I just say Obama's budget plan? Double the foreign aid, 20 "promise neighborhoods", national healthcare, a larger military to not deploy, more social programs, more funding to (sorry G&E) the arts which should be privately funded (and would be if someone would quit taking all our money) unless in educational institutions, etc. I think across the board the plan is a giant sucking hole thingy.
Didn't get to McCain. Once again, the healthcare plan. It's admirable and all that but someone is going to have to admit that with 40% plus of the american adults NOT paying a dime in federal taxes that we just can't give everyone the benefits that we wish we could.
If he suggest bailing out the homeowners again I'll sock him in the nose myself. Colossal waste of tax money. If you can't afford something don't buy it, or buy something cheaper. My kids understood that at 5 years old. This money pit applies to Obama as well, get real guys.
There may be more, if I think of more I'll add it later.
I think McCain's health plan is a waste; it will cost a lot of people loss of health coverage becasue if you really read it, it will eliminate Cobra and pre existing condition clauses... not good for anyone. I have always believed in health care for all even if it means national health care and you should all know that by now.
You didn't read it, he doesn't want to eliminate it he wants to change it where people with pre-existing conditions would be covered in a different way if needed by working with Governors to have pools of high risk folks. He admits it's not ideal and is looking for input rather than expecting everyone else to, once again, pay for somebody else. Go back and read the plan, if you read it at all, he isn't proposing leaving ANYONE uninsured.
Since the day I read Obama's plan I've been particularly pissed off about his Foreign Aid section. The idea of doubling our foreign aid while we have so many problems within our own country just burns me. But doubling our aid is his plan and it's not the first time he's tried, nor the first time Biden has been in stride with his plan.
In February 2008 an Obama sponsored bill, the "Global Poverty Act," was up for vote in the senate. This bill would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends, which is around $300 billion. OVER AND ABOVE people. This is responsible spending of our taxes? Come on. Biden and Obama together, were pushing this and with both in office and a Democratic majority I'd say you can bet on it. Where do you think he's going to get that money from, tax cuts on the middle class? $845 billion amounts to a tax of more than $2,000 on each man, woman and child in the United States. We couldn't even come up with the money. Experts believe it would have to be funded by a global tax on fossil fuels which would mean ... you guess it, everyone paying more for gas, oil and petroleum products. So, wanna explain again how we'll be better off financially with Obama and the Dems in charge? Spreading the wealth isn't even for US citizens alone. He plans to send more and more of our money overseas. And while some of you don't care since you believe you won't be paying any taxes or maybe you think you will benefit in some small way but that's all wishful thinking. There's no way our country, and even more unfairly, a portion of our country, should be supporting our government AND paying for the rest of the world's problems.
