Oh well ....

I'm dismayed and disgusted by how many tossed aside their responsibility and voted without ever asking for a full accounting of the man they put in the most powerful position on earth. I'm sure it'll be viewed as sour grapes but it isn't. Maybe he'll do something good, of course, maybe not. It's not like anyone took the responsibility seriously while shielding him from those that wanted to be sure their lives and their country were in the best hands. Nope. Those that asked questions were "divisive" and "distracting" in their eyes. But I was taught to question my government and demand accountings, something Obama never had to do. I feel a little sick thinking about it, like handing the keys of a car to a kid with no license. How hard would it have been to actually check for some skill and intent?

I've wanted a minority president for the majority of my life, a woman, african american, hispanic, disabled, asian, anything, I just assumed they'd be qualified.
